Unknown Gunmen kill 20 students of Adamawa Polytechnic

Unknown gunmen struck this morning at Adamawa Polytechnic, Mubi leaving in their wake over 20 students dead and several others injured.

Although fingers were pointed at the Boko Haram Sect, the Adamawa state police spokesman, Mohammed Ibrahim, who had visited the scene, told BBC that investigations were under way and the motive for the attack was not yet clear.

But he said the attackers had inside knowledge: "The attackers called the victims by name and killed them."

A resident claimed the shooting lasted for about two hours.
